It was announced yesterday that Udhayanidhi Stalin will be playing the lead in Raaj Kamal Films International's next production venture. Now it has been revealed by the makers that the project will be a period film is based on real-life events.  

The project announcement was made at Red Giant Movies 15th year anniversary celebrations in cinema. However, other details regarding the project including the director's name are yet to be revealed.

Notably, Udhayanidhi produced Kamal Haasan's 2010-released film, Manmadhan Ambu. They also recently collaborated for Vikram. Red Giant Movies presented the Kamal Haasan-starrer in Tamil Nadu.

Udhayanidhi has Maamannan with Mari Selvaraj and Kalagathalaivan with Magizh Thirumeni in the lineup. 

Raaj Kamal Films, on the other hand, is also producing a Sivakarthikeyan-Sai Pallavi starrer. Rangoon fame Rajkumar Periasamy is directing the film, which is yet to be titled.
