The first look poster of Dhanush’s upcoming bilingual film Vaathi/Sir, was released by the makers on social media, on Wednesday, marking the eve of the actor’s birthday.

The poster, tinted in warmer tones of oranges and brown, features Dhanush sitting on a chair, as he writes something, against the backdrop of what looks to be a library. The film’s teaser will be released on Thursday, the poster mentioned.

Directed by Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri, the film has been planned as a Tamil-Telugu film. Titled Sir in Telugu, it has Malayalam actor Samyuktha Menon as the female lead, playing the role of a teacher.

Vaathi also stars Sai Kumar and veteran Tanikella Bharani in prominent roles. It has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by Yuvraj, and editing by Navin Nooli.

The film is produced jointly by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
