Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur's period romantic drama Sita Ramam trailer out

The trailer of upcoming multilingual film Sita Ramam was released by the makers on Monday.

The two-and-a-half minute trailer gives an elaborate glimpse of the film’s premise. It revolves around an orphan soldier Lieutenant Ram whose life changes, after he gets a letter from a girl named Sita. After they meet and fall in love with each other, Ram comes back to his camp in Kashmir. While he sends a letter to Sita which would not reach her, after 20 years, two people are given the task of giving the letter to Sita. As they try to find them, a hurdle in form of Brigadier Vishnu Sharma comes on their way.

Sita Ramam stars actors from various industries, including Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, Gautham Menon, Sumanth, Bhumika Chawla, among others. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is backed by Aswini Dutt under Swapna Cinema banner and presented by Vyjayanthi Movies.

The film is a period romantic drama set in periods between the 60s and 80s. The technical crew consists of cinematography by PS Vinod and Vishal Chandrashekhar on the music. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor.

Sita Ramam is made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. It is slated for release on August 5.
