D Imman launched the lyrical video for Arya’s upcoming film titled Captain. The first single, titled Ninaivugal, is penned by Madhan Karky and sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film turned heads with its first look poster which showed Arya geared up like a soldier, the poster also showed us a chilling glimpse at a monster.  

Shakti Soundar Rajan, known for tackling unique genres like space drama and zombie horror, is directing the film with Arya in the lead. Arya will be joined by an ensemble cast that includes Simran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Thiagarajan, Harish Uthaman, and Kavya Shetty.  

It was earlier announced that the streaming rights for the monster-thriller were reportedly bagged by Zee5. While D Imman is known to be composing for the film, the soundtrack has been acquired by Think Music.

Arya, who also acts as a producer for the film, is joining hands with director Shakti Soundar Rajan for the second time after 2021’s Teddy. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies is confirmed to be the distributor of the film.

The sci-fi action film is scheduled to release on 8 September.
