Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya to act in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai?

Reports state that Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya might appear in director Vetrimaaran’s upcoming film titled Viduthalai.

The film is an adaptation of writer Jeyamohan’s short story Thunaivan. It was earlier announced that Vetrimaaran was adapting the story for the big screen with actors Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Bhavani Sre playing lead roles. Director Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Kishore, and Chetan are also joining the cast in key roles.

Vetrimaaran earlier adapted Poomani’s novel Vekkai into a film titled Asuran and Chandrakumar’s Lock Up was made into Visaranai. The film is being produced by Elred Kumar under the banner of RS Infotainment. R.Velraj, known for directing Velailla Pattadhari, is handling the cinematography while Ilaiyaraja is composing music for the film.

Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya made his debut playing a younger version of his father in 2015’s Naanum Rowdy Thaan. He then went on to share screen space with his father again in Sindhubaadh which released in 2019. If reports are to be believed, Surya will be seen playing a younger version of Vijay Sethupathi’s character Vaathiyar in the film.
