A video introducing the lead characters of Pa Ranjith's upcoming film Natchathiram Nagargiradhu was launched this evening. The promo confirms the speculation that the film is set in a theatre backdrop and introduces the actors in the troupe as the leads. The film, starring Kalaiyarasan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert and Shabeer Kallarakkal, carries the tagline, ' Love is political,' and is said to cover queer relationships apart from the heterosexual love story. 
 

The promotional video shows the main actors discussing the reason behind love and why it needs to evolve in the form of monologues of the actors. Natchathiram Nagargiradhu has music by Tenma, cinematography by Kishor Kumar and editing by Selva RK. 

Produced By Vignesh Sundaresan, Manoj Leonel Jahson and Pa Ranjith, the film is expected to release in the second half of the year. Apart from this film, Pa Ranjith has the follow-up to Sarpatta Parambarai, the Birsa Munda biopic in Hindi, cross-platform film Vettuvam and an untitled film starring Kamal Haasan.
