The title of Suriya's next directed by Bala has been titled Vanangaan, on the occasion of the filmmaker's birthday. The first look poster of the film, which was released along with the title, features the actor looking fiercely through a torn rag. Notably, the Telugu version of the film has been titled Achaludu. 

The film was last in the news for the shooting spot still featuring Suriya and Bala. The project is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyotika under their banner 2D productions. Vanangaan, also stars Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju. Details about the rest of the cast and the plotline are kept under wraps. 

The film will have cinematography by Balasubramaniam and music by GV Prakash. Maya Pandi and Sathish Surya are taking care of the art direction and editing, respectively.

In addition to this project, Suriya has the long-awaited Vaadi Vaasal coming up. Speculations are also rife that he will be teaming up with director Ravi Kumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame for an upcoming film.
