Red Giant Movies to distribute Gautham Menon- Simbu's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu in Tamil Nadu

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is set to hit theatres worldwide on September 15 this year

After distributing recent hits like Beast, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Don, Vikram and Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies has acquired the distribution rights of Gautham Menon-Silambarasan's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.

Announcing the same on their social media handles, Red Giant Movies noted that they are joining hands with Silambarasan, Gautham Menon and AR Rahman after 12 years, after their hit 2010 romantic drama Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.     

The action-thriller is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and written by Jeyamohan. The film’s music is scored by AR Rahman. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu marks his fourth collaboration with Gautham Menon. They have earlier worked together in films Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016),  and the short, Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn (2020).

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu tells the story of street thugs in Mumbai.

The film’s technical crew consists of Siddhartha Nuni as the cinematographer, with editing by Anthony. Siddhi Idnani is the female lead and Raadika Sarathkumar, Siddique, and Aangelina Abraham are also part of the cast.

Silambarasan was last seen in Maanaadu (2021), directed by Venkat Prabhu. He will be seen next in Pathu Thala, and Corona Kumar.
