They have clarified that the actor did not have a cardiac arrest and is currently clinically stable. The release noted that he was evaluated and treated by our team of specialist doctors and will be discharged from the hospital soon.

Meanwhile, actor Dhruv, Vikram’s son, took to his social media handle to refute the rumours regarding the actor suffering from a heart attack.

He wrote, “Dear fans and wellwishers, Appa had a mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. HE DID NOT have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumours to this effect. That being said, we request you to give him and our family the privacy we need at this time. Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumours will be put to rest.”

Earlier today, the actor’s manager Suryanarayanan also denied the rumours. On the professional front, Vikram is part of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan Part-1 (PS-1), for which the teaser will be released today and Cobra, the mega-budget action thriller directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.
