Rajinikanth: Rocketry is a movie that everyone must watch

Actor Madhavan's debut directorial venture, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, opened to decent reviews this Friday. It has also been receiving praise from celebrities and fans alike, and the latest to join this list is Rajinikanth. 

Rajinikanth, who is known for expressing his thoughts on many films, took to social media to share his responses to Madhavan's latest.

The Superstar wrote, "Rocketry is a movie that everyone has to watch, especially youngsters. The sacrifices and hardships of Padma Bhushan Sri Nambi Narayanan to develop the space research of India are wonderfully captured, represented and performed by Madhavan. With his very first directorial, he has joined the echelons of great filmmakers. I extend my gratitude and best wishes to Madhavan for giving us a film like this."

Rocketry, which is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan played by Madhavan himself, traces not just the rocket science part of his life but also deals with the false allegations of treachery that were levied against the celebrated scientist. The film, which has music by Sam CS, stars Simran in a pivotal role. While the Tamil version of Rocketry featured Suriya in a cameo, the English and Hindi versions had Shah Rukh Khan playing the same role,
