The filming for Halitha Shameem’s upcoming Tamil film Minmini has been wrapped up.

One of the interesting aspects of this project is that the first schedule was completed in 2015 with a bunch of child artists from her debut film Poovarasam Peepee. The filmmaker waited for almost six years for the children to grow up to shoot the remaining portions.

In June this year, Halitha resumed filming for Minmini. On Thursday, the filmmaker took to her social media handle to announce that they have completed filming for this ambitious project.

In the post, she wrote, “It's a wrap for #Minmini. My mind is so calm and serene as we complete the shoot for Minmini. Could feel the tranquil sunshine within me.”

According to reports, Minmini is a coming-of-age film that follows two youngsters who carry survivors’ guilt.

Halitha who made her debut with the children's adventure film Poovarasam Peepee in 2014, later went on to direct an anthology titled Sillu Karupatti (2019), Aelay (2021) and a segment, Loners, in Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa (2022).
