Unconfirmed reports suggest that Saani Kaayidham is most likely to skip theatrical release and have its premiere on Amazon Prime Video. With the spike in Covid cases and theatres running with 50% occupancy, the makers are reportedly opting for a direct OTT release.  An official announcement regarding its release is expected to be made soon.

Saani Kaayidham marks the acting debut of filmmaker Selvaraghavan. Keerthy Suresh plays the other lead.

Arun Matheswaran, who made a smashing debut recently with Rocky, is directing this film. Like his directorial debut, Saani Kaayidham is also billed as a dark and gritty film.

It has cinematography by Sillu Karuppatti-fame Yamini Yagnamurthy, editing by Nagooran and art direction by Ramu Thangaraj. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director. The film is produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment.

Arun Matheswaran, meanwhile, has already bagged his third film. He will be teaming up with Dhanush next. The news was officially announced by the actor in December, last year.
