CTR Nirmal Kumar, the State President of BJP Tamilnadu's IT and social media wing has condemned Zee Tamizh's kids program Junior Super Stars, over alleged commentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The episode in contention of Junior Super Stars Season 4 was aired on January 15 and the skit, which has triggered controversy, features a kid playing an unwise king. The BJP IT wing has complained that the 'kids were making obnoxious remarks about Prime Minister. Scathing remarks were made about demonetisation, travel to various countries, PM's attire and disinvestment.'

The statement further read, "what was being spoken (in the show) is beyond their understanding and the guardians of the minors and channel have to be legally and morally accountable for this act."

The BJP IT wing has demanded a public apology from the channel, producer, judges and mentors, and the removal of the program.

The move of BJP has received severe criticism all over and many have stated that the decision was unnecessary and curbs the freedom of expression.
