Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan wished Vijay Sethupathi as he turned 44 today. In a heartfelt statement, Kamal said that Vijay Sethupathi is an important actor of the next generation.

He tweeted, "Without caring about the market, brother Vijay Sethupathi has found a quest for himself. As someone who puts forth himself as the hero of any story, he is an important actor of the next generation. His search and courage will not be in vain. My hearty wishes to brother Vijay Sethupathi."

Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi are sharing the screen in the upcoming film Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil and has Anirudh Ravichander as the composer.

Kamal Haasan has also announced his next production venture, which stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, who made Rangoon. 

On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi has a slew of films up for release. Many of his films have been in the cans due to the corona lockdown. He will next be seen in director Manikandan's Kadasi Vivasayi. 

Sethupathi is also playing a prominent role in Sundeep Kishan's upcoming film, Michael, which is directed by Ranjit Jayakodi. Sundeep and the team also wished the team.
