Director Susi Ganeshan's next film has been titled Vanjam Theerththayada. The announcement was made on New Year's Day. However, the makers are yet to reveal any details about the cast and crew.

From the title and its announcement poster, many have speculated that the film will be a revenge drama. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the film is based on a real-life incident that took place in the '80s in Madurai.

Susi Ganeshan is known for making films like Five Star, Virumbugiren, Thiruttu Payale, and Kanthaswamy. He had also begun works on a Hindi film titled Dil Hai Gray, but its current status is not known.
