The National Award-winning actor Suriya's next is a big scale-period actioner, tentatively titled Suriya 42. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film is currently under production. Recently it was speculated that the next schedule will be in Srilanka. But the latest buzz suggests that the team will be shooting in Chennai for a week from January 4 and after that, they will go to Kerala for the next schedule.

The film is said to have two timelines. Reports also note that Suriya will have 13 looks in the film. Suriya 42 also stars Disha Patani as the female lead. KS Ravikumar, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Anandraj in pivotal roles.  The first schedule of the film has been wrapped up recently in Goa and Chennai.

Produced by UV Creations and Studio Green, the film has been planned to be released in 3D across ten languages. Adi Narayana has scripted the film with dialogues by Madan Karky. It has music by Devi Sri Prasad, and cinematography by Siva's frequent collaborator, Vetri Palanisamy.
