Anusha Sundar

After Ponniyin Selvan, actor Trisha will sign off of 2022, with her Tamil film Raangi. The film will release in theatres on December 30. On Tuesday, the makers said that after the theatrical run, the film will stream on Sun Nxt.

Raangi is directed by M Saravanan who helmed Engeyum Eppothum. In the film, Trisha plays a journalist Thaiyal Nayagi who ends up discovering a large conspiracy while working on an investigation. The film's trailer promises plenty of action moments for the actor.

The film attempts a strong commentary on international politics by showcasing the power struggle between two nations. Saravanan's mentor AR Murugadoss has penned the film's story. It has music by C Sathya, a frequent collaborator of Saravanan who has composed for his earlier films Engeyum Eppothum and Ivan Vera Mathiri. The film is shot by cinematographer Shakthi.
