According to recent reports, Vijay Sethupathi is all set to replace Udhayanidhi Stalin in Kamal Haasan’s upcoming production, tentatively titled RKFI54. In a surprise turn of events, he was announced as the new Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister by the Tamil Nadu Government.

After his ascension to the position of a minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin announced that his recently wrapped film Maamannan will be his last film as an actor. Maamannan is directed by Mari Selvaraj who is best known for directing Karnan and Pariyerum Perumal.

The yet-to-be-titled Raj Kamal Films International film is being helmed by Prasath Murugesan who had earlier directed Kidaari in 2016. Udhayanidhi’s production house Red Giant Movies is currently producing Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film Indian 2 while also being attached to produce the untitled Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam project.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is all set to appear in films like Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, and Santhosh Sivan’s Hindi thriller Mumbaikar.
