After a long break, cinematographer-turned-director Thangar Bachan is back with a new directorial, titled Karumegangal Kalaiginrana. We had earlier reported that the film has an interesting cast, which includes actor-filmmakers Bharathiraja, Gautham Menon, SA Chandrasekhar, RV Udhayakumar, and actor Yogi Babu. The latest to join the cast is actor Aditi Balan, who hasn't starred in a full-length Tamil feature since her breakout film, Aruvi.

Based on a short story written by Thangar Bachan himself, more than fifty per cent of the shooting of Karumegangal Kalaiginrana is complete. Now, the makers have roped in Aditi Balan after auditioning many actors across India.

In a statement, Thangar said, "Aditi Balan plays the role, which is the central character of the film. She perfectly fits into this world, and we are confident that her performance will add more layers to this challenging character.”

With actor Bharathiraja, who recently fell ill and had to be admitted to the hospital, recuperating well, the makers of Karumegangal Kalaiginrana are currently filming the project in Chennai. The next and final schedule of Karumegangal Kalaiginrana will happen in Rameswaram from December 20.

With music by GV Prakash and cinematography by NK Ekambaram, Karumegangal Kalaiginrana is backed by D Veersakathi.
