Suriya, who recently opted out of director Bala’s Vanangaan, is currently shooting for Siva’s tentatively titled film Suriya 42. The latest reports suggest that the actor will appear in dual roles in the film.

Mounted as a fantasy action film, Suriya 42 features Disha Patani as the female lead and marks the Tamil debut of the actor, who predominantly works in Hindi film industry. The first schedule of the film has been wrapped up recently in Goa and the shooting is currently happening in Chennai.

Expected to be released in 3D as well, IANS quoted sources telling that Suriya will essay dual roles in the film, with each appearing in different timelines- past and present. However, the plot of the film is kept under wraps. Apart from Suriya and Disha, the film also features Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Kingsley and Anand Raj. Vetri is the cinematographer of the film, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
