Filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth, took to Twitter to wish her father and actor Rajinikanth who turned 72 on Monday, by sharing a special poster from her upcoming film Lal Salaam. The film will feature Rajinikanth making a cameo appearance.

The poster features a silhouette of Rajinikanth against the tinted skies, as various people raise their hands as a symbol of protest.

“No amount of praise is enough for you ..You make millions happy everyday..You are to be celebrated every single day..But today wishing you THE SUPER STAR MY APPA and OUR ONE AND ONLY THALAIVA the happiest healthiest and the most heartfelt HAPPY BIRTHDAY,” Aishwarya tweeted.

Lal Salaam is backed by Lyca Productions banner and will feature actor Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. Besides direction, Aishwarya has also written the screenplay of the film. It will be the first time Aishwarya is directing Rajinikanth and their maiden professional collaboration. The music will be composed by AR Rahman. Lal Salaam will release in theatres in 2023.
