From Ramya Krishnan to Shivrajkumar, team Jailer wishes Rajinikanth on his birthday

Superstar Rajinikanth turned 72 on Monday. Marking the occasion, the cast and crew of Rajini's upcoming film Jailer extended birthday wishes. 

In a video shared by the makers, actor Ramya Krishnan told her iconic dialogue from Padayappa and asserted that even after 23 years, this dialogue is apt only for the Superstar..." yesterday, today and forever!" "Vayasaanalum Unga Azhagum Styleum Innum Ungala Vittu Pola!," she said, wishing the actor. 

Kannada actor Shivrajkumar said that he feels proud to share the screen with Rajini and noted that he is a "Simple Superstar." Malayalam actor Vinayakan stated that it's a huge blessing in life to be able to act with Rajinikanth. 

Yogi Babu, who previously worked with Rajini in Darbar, said, "There is a lot to learn from him. He has this tendency to give space for comedian to perform."

Noting that he feels happy and proud to work with Rajinikanth, Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer's director wished the actor and said, "Keep spreading your aura." Meanwhile, Vasanth Ravi said that he learnt qualities like humility and humbleness from the superstar.

Backed by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson, the film will mark Rajini's 169th outing. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, which earlier backed Annaatthe. Set in the background of jail, Rajini plays the titular character in Jailer, named Muthuvel Pandian. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is expected to hit the theatres in 2023 summer.
