We were among the first to report about Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar starring in Dhanush's upcoming film Captain Miller. The makers have now officially announced it by tweeting, "Welcoming the legendary superstar, Karunada Chakravarthy Shivarajkumar to the world of Captain Miller." He responded by tweeting, "Happy to be a part of Captain Miller with the immensely talented Dhanush and the legendary Sathya Jyothi Films. Looking forward to working with the team."

Directed by Rocky-fame Arun Matheswaran, Captain Miller is billed as an action-adventure drama set in the pre-independence era. Reports suggest that Shivarajkumar is playing a cameo in the film as Dhanush's elder brother, but the makers are yet to confirm it. It is worth a mention that Shivarajkumar is doing a cameo in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer as well.

Captain Miller also stars Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Malayalam actor Sumesh Moor, and John Kokken. The film has Shreyaas Krishna handling the cinematography, GV Prakash Kumar in charge of the music, and Nagooran taking care of the editing responsibilities. The film is slated to hit screens in summer 2023.
