For a while now, there have been multiple speculations about director H Vinoth's next after Thunivu. While names like Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Dhanush have been doing the rounds, the director has confirmed that he is planning to helm a film with Yogi Babu as the lead. According to the director, the film revolves around a naive, petty crook and a forthright cop. However, Vinoth is yet to confirm whether it will be his immediate next after Thunivu.

The director is currently working on the post-production of Thunivu, which marks his third collaboration with Ajith after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Produced by Bay View Projects and Zee Studios, Thunivu also stars Manju Warrier, Veera, Samuthirakani, Ajay, John Kokken, Mahanadhi Shankar, Amir, Pavni, Cibi Chandran, GM Sundar, Bhagavathy Perumal and others in key roles.

Yogi Babu, on the other hand, has several projects lined up including Varisu, Jailer, and Andhagan.
