Rajinikanth's new film Jailer directed by Nelson went on floors recently. The makers have announced that Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and Vasanth Ravi will be part of the cast.

While Ramya Krishnan has worked with Rajinikanth previously in Padayappa and Baba, Yogi Babu shared screen with the superstar in Darbar.

There are also reports about Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar playing a prominent role in Jailer, but the makers are yet to confirm it.

Jailer has music by Anirudh Ravichander, a regular in Nelson's films. It is backed by Sun Pictures, the banner that produced Rajinikanth's last film Annaatthe and Nelson's last outing Beast.
