Aadhaar, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Karunas in the lead role, is set to release in theatres on September 22 in theatres, the makers announced on social media on Wednesday.

The upcoming film is helmed by Ramnath Palanikumar, who has previously directed Karunas’ Ambasamudram Ambani. It is produced by P Sasee Kumar under Vennila Creations banner. Besides Karunas, the film also features Riythvika, Ineya, Arun Pandian, Uma Riyaz Khan, Dileepan, among others. 

The film is expected to explore the notion of identity, going by its title. The film was shot in Chennai, by cinematographer Mahesh Muthuswami. Shooting for the film has been completed, with editing by R Ramar. Srikanth Deva has composed the music.
