Ramya Krishnan confirms starring in Rajinikanth's Jailer

This marks the Padayappa combo's reunion after a brief appearance together in Baba (2002)

We had earlier reported about Nelson teaming up with Rajinikanth for Jailer. In a recent media interaction, Ramya Krishnan has confirmed that she is part of the film. The actor also revealed that she will start shooting for the film from August 10. This marks the Padayappa combo's reunion after a brief appearance together in Baba (2002).

Jailer, billed as a mass entertainer, also has Kannada star Shivarajkumar in a prominent role. There are also reports about Vasanth Ravi (Taramani, Rocky) being a part of the cast, but the makers are yet to confirm it.

Jailer has music by Anirudh Ravichander, and cinematography will be handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan. Sun Pictures is backing the film, marking their second successive collaboration with Rajinikanth after Annaatthe.
