Vikranth’s next to be based on socially releveant themes

Vikranth is reportedly playing the lead in a film that is set in southern TN and handles relevant social themes. The film is directed by V P Nageswaran, who had previously directed Thottu Vidum Thooram. The untitled project is produced by S Alexander under the banner of A S Entertainment. 

While Vikranth is playing the lead role, another well-known actor is reportedly in talks to play the second lead in the film. An official announcement will be made by the makers of the film once the deal is finalised. Jai Bhim fame Tamizh, Vela Ramamoorthy, Marimuthu, Sherin, Rama, and Madhusudhanan will also be joining Vikranth in supporting roles.

According to reports from the team, the film will portray the life of people in the southern districts laced with native family sentiments and a special focus on how various relevant social themes affect their lives. 

The cinematography is handled by Maasani while Yugabharathi is roped in as the lyricist. The cast and crew have started the first schedule of the film in Chennai and will shortly move to Theni to shoot the rest of the film in Theni.
