Pa Ranjith's Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is set to release on August 31 in theatres, the makers announced on social media on Thursday.

The makers also released a new poster while making the announcement. The poster features all the characters placed against the backdrop of rainbow tinted arch, symbolizing the queer community.

The upcoming film is Ranjith’s comeback to romance genre, since his debut film Attakathi (2012). However, the upcoming film will be set against a theatre backdrop and explore queer to heterosexual relationships.

The film stars Kalaiyarasan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert and Shabeer Kallarakkal, among others.

Natchathiram Nagargiradhu has music by Tenma, cinematography by Kishor Kumar and editing by Selva RK. It is backed by Vignesh Sundaresan, Manoj Leonel Jahson and Pa Ranjith.
