CE Features

The release of Vijay Sethupathi's long-delayed Maamanithan has yet again been postponed. Recently, the makers had announced May 20 as the release date, but it has now been pushed to June 24.

Directed by Seenu Ramasamy, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie as the leads.

Producer and actor RK Suresh, whose banner Studio 9 is releasing the film, took to Twitter to announce the postponing of release. Suresh said that the decision had been taken, keeping in mind the continuous releases of Vijay Sethupathi's films.

The producer also pointed out that Maamanithan deserves to hold a minimum of 400 theatres all over Tamil Nadu, and the decision was made to ensure this.

Maamanithan, which stars KPAC Lalitha, Guru Somasundaram, and Ganja Karuppu in pivotal roles, has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilaiyaraaja.
