Director Sarjun's upcoming film Burqa starring Kalaiarasan and Mirnaa in the lead will have its world premiere later this month at New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF). 

The film, which is bankrolled by SKLS Galaxy Mall Productions and Madras Stories has also been selected in three award categories at the film festival. This includes Best actor awards for Kalaiarasan and Mirnaa. 

The shooting for this film wrapped up in November 2021 and since then, it has been featured in many film festivals. Burqa's technical crew includes  G Balamurugan on cinematography, R Sivatmikha on music, B Pravin Baaskar on editing, and Meenakshi Shreedharan on styling and costumes.
