The filming of director Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, starring Silambarasan TR in the lead, has been completed and the post-production works are happening in full swing. 

The news was shared by the filmmaker on his social media handles with a poster of Simbu holding a gun at someone. He captioned the picture, "It was like going back to school and learning some more but with the best in the business and an actor/star par excellence."
 

The teaser of the film was released last December.  Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu tells the story of street thugs in Mumbai. Scripted by B Jeyamohan, it is billed as an action thriller. 

Starring Siddhi Idnani as the female lead, the film is produced by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International. The film has Siddhartha Nuni as the cinematographer and Gautham Menon's frequent collaborator Antony as the editor.
