Actor Pooja Hegde, who is returning to Tamil cinema after 10 years with the upcoming Vijay-starrer Beast, has said that she is happy that she is returning to Kollywood with a film like Beast.

Pooja made her feature film debut in Mysskin's Mugamoodi in 2012. Post which, the actor forayed into the Telugu industry with a few Hindi film credits additionally.

In a live Q&A session on Twitter, Pooja said that she is excited to be back to where it all started. "My journey began in the Tamil industry, and I am happy that I am doing the return with Beast. I hope the Tamil audience loves me and my performance in the film."

Earlier, during Nelson's interview with Vijay during the film's promotions, the team released short footage from the car ride that the crew went on in Vijay's Rolls-Royce Ghost. On being asked about the car ride, Pooja said that it was amazing to be driven by the star.

"It was Aparna's (Das) birthday that day and we had a lot of fun. His car was like a plane and wasn't like a car. Of course, being driven by Vijay sir was amazing," she said.

Written and directed by Nelson, Beast is an invasion thriller in which Vijay plays a spy. The film also stars Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Aparna Das, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film is slated for theatrical release on April 13.

Pooja was last seen opposite Prabhas in Radhe Shyam. The actor has Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan starrer Acharya, Ranveer Singh-starrer Cirkus, and an untitled film with Trivikram Srinivas opposite Mahesh Babu in the pipeline.
