The makers of Kolai have unveiled the first look poster of the film. The first look poster features Vijay Antony in the attire of a detective. Other characters played by Murali Sharma, Radikaa Sarathkumar and others appear as sketches in a book held by Vijay's character. The film is directed by Balaji Kumar.

The cast of Kolai includes Ritika Singh, Meenakshii Chaudhary, Arjun Chidambaram, and Siddhartha Shankar among others. The film has music scored by Girishh Gopalakrishnan, cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan, editing by Selva RK, and stunt choreography by Mahesh Mathew. Kolai is produced by Infiniti Film Ventures and Lotus Pictures.

In addition to Kolai, Vijay has Thamezharasan, Agni Siragugal, Khaki, Ratham, Pichaikkaran 2 and Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan, in different stages of production.
