We had earlier reported about Udhayanidhi Stalin and director Mari Selvaraj planning to join hands for a new film. Latest buzz is that the film will also have Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil in a major role.

The Joji actor was last seen in Tamil in Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe. He is also part of the upcoming Kamal Haasan-Lokesh Kanagarj film Vikram. Though reports about him signing Mari Selvaraj's new film are yet to be confirmed, fans are already excited about their combination.

There are also speculations about this being Udhayanidhi Stalin's last film before jumping full-time into politics. Reportedly, the film will be a semi-autobiography of a person from the southern part of Tamil Nadu. AR Rahman is expected to compose music for it.

It is still unclear when the film will go on floors as Mari Selvaraj is also working on a project with Vikram’s son Dhruv in parallel. It has also been announced that the director will be working with Dhanush once again after the success of their recent outing, Karnan.

On the other hand, Udhayanidhi also has three upcoming projects in different stages of production. He is playing the lead in the Tamil remake of Article 15 directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. He also has a film with director Magizh Thirumeni and director Maran’s Kannai Nambathey in his kitty.
