The much-awaited Silambarasan TR-starrer Maanaadu will hit screens in November during Deepavali.

Silambarasan shared a new announcement poster on his social media. The picture shows a rocket firework ready to take off, from a green bottle that also has a political logo plastered on it. In the background, we can see an explosion amid what looks like a political rally.

Maanaadu, which went on floors in February 2020, was delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is touted as a sci-fi thriller based on time reversal. Co-starring SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, the film also has Premgi Amaren, Bharathiraja and SA Chandrasekaran.

The film, produced by Suresh Kamatchi has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Richard M Nathan. The film is also dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada, and released under the title Rewind

With the news, Maanaadu will release alongside Rajinikanth's Annaatthe. Meanwhile, it is also rumoured that Ajith's Valimai is eyeing a Deepavali release. There is no confirmation yet regarding the same.
