Rajinikanth's Annaatthe, which is gearing up for a deepavali release next month, has cleared the censors and has been certified U/A. 

The announcement was made by the film's production house, Sun Pictures along with a poster featuring Rajini greeting the crowd in a thiruvizha. Actor Soori and Prince can also be seen in the background. 

Directed by Siva, Annaatthe marks the superstar's 168th film. This is also his first collaboration with the filmmaker. This is music composer Imman's first film with the actor and second with the director.

Apart from Rajinikanth, the film stars Nayanthara, Meena, Khushboo, Keerthy Suresh, Prakashraj, Robo Shankar, Soori, and Sathish in important roles. Said to be a rural drama, it has Vetri and Ruben handling cinematography and editing, respectively.
