The face-offs between actors Vijay and Prakash Raj have resulted in some of the most memorable scenes in Tamil cinema. Although we haven't seen this pairing onscreen since Villu (2009), Prakash Raj, in a recent media interaction, revealed that he is set to work with the Beast actor soon. 

This lead to speculations that this project might be Thalapathy 66, which will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally, and bankrolled by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Prakash Raj and Vijay have previously shared screen space in landmark films like Ghilli, Pokkiri and Sivakasi. 

Meanwhile, Vijay is currently busy with the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial, Beast, co-starring Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Aparna Das and Shine Tom Chacko. On the other hand, Prakash Raj is acting in multiple Tamil films including Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Suriya's Jai Bhim.
