Rajinikanth: I never thought Annaatthe Annaatthe will be SP Balasubrahmanyam's last song for me

As the first single of Annaatthe is out, Rajinikanth took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message about the late legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam

The first single from Rajinikanth's upcoming film Annaatthe film was released today. Titled Annaatthe Annaatthe, the song was crooned by the late legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. The song marks the last collaboration of SPB and Rajinikanth. In a heartfelt tweet, the Superstar said that he never thought Annaatthe will turn out to be SPB's last collaboration with him. 

Rajinikanth wrote, "For 45 years SP Balasubrahmanyam lived as my voice, and while shooting for the song, I never even dreamt that the song would turn out to be his last one for me. My beloved SPB will continue to live with his lovable voice."

SP Balasubrahmanyam has sung many of the iconic songs for Rajinikanth. Athaanda Idhaana, Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalaali, Vandhenda Paalkaaran, Naan Autokaaran, and Devuda Devuda are among the iconic songs by SPB for Rajinikanth. The late singer also sang for Rajinikanth's last film, Darbar, in the song Chumma Kizhi

Now, their unparalleled collaboration, which has lasted for more than four decades has come to an end with Annaatthe Annaatthe, composed by D Imman. 

Annaatthe, directed by D Imman, also starring an ensemble cast comprising leading stars including Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh, and Prakash Raj, will release on Deepavali.
