Priyadarshan to direct Urvashi's 700th film, Appatha

Priyadarshan is teaming up with Urvashi for a new Tamil film titled Appatha, which is also the latter's 700th film. 

The actor-director duo had last worked together in the Malayalam film Mithunam, which got released 28 years back in 1993.

Priyadarshan's last Tamil outing was the Netflix anthology Navarasa. His segment, Summer of 92: Hasya, starred Yogi Babu, Remya Nambeesan, and the late Nedumudi Venu.

Meanwhile, the director's highly ambitious film Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham is set to hit theatres on December 2. The multilingual action-epic stars Mohanlal, Suniel Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Keerthy Suresh, Arjun Sarja, Manju Warrier, Pranav Mohanlal, Suhasini, Ashok Selvan, and Prabhu among others.

Urvashi, on the other hand, has a handful of Tamil projects like GhostyIdiotKasethan Kadavuladaand Andhagan coming up.
