Actor-director Raghava Lawrence has pledged to build a house for the family of late Rajakannu, who lost his life in 1993, due to police brutality. His action was initiated by Suriya's Jai Bhim, which was based on the tragic incident.

Lawrence made the announcement through his Twitter handle, after learning about the present, pitiful condition of Rajakannu's wife Parvathi, through a YouTube channel.

He went on to thank Suriya and Jyotika for producing the hard-hitting film and Tha Se Gnanavel for directing it.

On the work front, Lawrence has Rudhran, alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar, Adhigaram, written by Vetri Maaran and P Vasu's Chandramuki 2, which is yet to go on floors.
