It has been announced that Siddhi Idnani will be playing the female lead in the Silambarasan TR-starrer Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (VTK).

Director Gautham Menon took to Twitter to share the news earlier today. While revealing a new poster featuring Siddhi and Silambarasan, the filmmaker has announced when the filming of the project will resume. "Final schedule begins 3rd January 2022 with Siddhi Idnani as Muthu’s Paavai!" the director wrote.

Siddhi's acting credits include the Telugu films, Jamba Lakidi Pamba (2018),  Prema Katha Chitram 2 (2018), and Anukunnadi Okati Ayinadi Okati (2020). VTK marks her foray into Tamil Cinema.

The film tells the story of street thugs in Mumbai. Scripted by B Jeyamohan, it is billed as an action thriller. Veteran Malayalam actor Siddique will be seen as the primary antagonist. The film produced by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International has Siddhartha Nuni as the cinematographer and Gautham Menon's frequent collaborator Antony as the editor.
