Actor Vijayalakshmi has won the first season of the Tamil reality game show Survivor. The series, which started in September this year, started with 16 contestants and two more were added to it as wild card entries. The Chennai 600028 actor has emerged victorious from the lot and has won the prize money of Rs 1 crore. The series' host, actor Arjun, handed over the cheque to Vijayalakshmi. 

The reality show, which was held on an island in the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, saw the 18 contestants divided into two groups named Kadargal and Vedargal. The contestants were subjected to various challenges and those who couldn't make the cut were eliminated.

Vijayalakshmi, Vanessa, Saran, Umapathy, and Narayanan were the five finalists out of which Vijayalakshmi won the final knockout challenge.

Meanwhile, Vijayalakshmi was recently seen in Chimbu Deven's hyperlink film Kasada Thapara.
