Karthik Kumar, known for starring in films like Kanda Naal Mudhal and Yaaradi Nee Mohini, and one of the most senior Stand Up comedians in the country, is now married to actor Amrutha Srinivasan. It's reported that the couple has been dating for a while now and got hitched in Chennai, in a private ceremony yesterday.

Several celebrities have attended the ceremony, shared pictures from the event and wished the new couple.

Amrutha, who has starred in films like Dev, Meyaadha Maan and web series Kallachirippu, is also a part of Karthik's directorial debut. The film, produced by Yoodlee films, also stars K Bhagyaraj, Ambika, Pandiarajan, Chinni Jayanth and Manobala.

Amrutha will also be playing the lead in Irudhi Pakkam, a whodunit thriller directed by debutant Mano Ve Kannathasan.
