A promo video of the much-awaited second single from Ajith Kumar-starrer Valimai was released earlier today.
Titled Mother Song, the single is sung by Sid Sriram with lyrics by Vignesh Shivan. Directed by H Vinoth, the film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The promo video begins with a voice-over from Ajith that goes as, "Naan paartha mudhal mugam nee, naan ketta mudhal kural nee." (Yours was the first face I saw, your voice was the first voice I heard). The 48-second promo video promises a heart-touching song about mother's love.
The full song will release on December 5 at 6:30 pm.
Valimai marks H Vinoth's second collaboration with Ajith after the 2019 courtroom drama, Nerkonda Paarvai. Billed as an action entertainer, Valimai has remained one of the most awaited Indian films ever since its announcement in late 2019. The film's first look and motion poster were released earlier in July to the delight of the lead actor's fans after a long wait.
One song from the film, titled Naanga Vera Maari, was released in August and has garnered over 35 million views on YouTube so far. In September, a glimpse video of the film was released, further amping up the expectations.
Produced by Bayview Projects in association with Zee Studios, Valimai has cinematography by Nirav Shah.
The film also features Huma S Qureshi, Bani, Sumithra, Achyunth Kumar, Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, Pugazh, among others in supporting roles.
