Suriya part of Kamal Haasan's Vikram?

CE Features

A viral video on Twitter has bolstered the rumour that Suriya is playing a cameo in Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Vikram. The clip, rumoured to be shot on the sets of Vikram, has Suriya and Kamal greeting each other.

Fan theories further claim that Vikram is set in the same universe as Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kaithi starring Karthi. Both the films also feature Narain (Anjaathey, Thambikottai) as a cop, speculated to be the same person.

Also, Suriya and Lokesh were supposed to team up earlier for a film called Irumbukai Mayavi, which was eventually dropped. It looks like we might get to see them collaborate finally.

This is not the first time Suriya is extending a favour to Kamal Haasan. The Nandha actor made a special appearance in Kamal's Manmadhan Ambu (2010). They were also seen together in Neengalum Vellalaam Oru Kodi, the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Suriya.

Meanwhile, Vikram is also in the news for the first single, Pathala Pathala, released on Wednesday. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song is sung and written by Kamal Haasan.

Also starring Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, Vikram is set to be released on June 3.
