Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was recently seen in the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Kurup, in a recent interaction with Cinema Express, has also spoken about Beast. The film, starring Vijay in the lead and directed by Nelson of Doctor-fame, marks the Tamil debut of the Shine. 

Sharing that the film will have Nelson's usual brand of humour, Shine says, "He is great at creating these perfectly synchronised comic moments. My character is not a funny type, but there are definitely funny characters in the film."  A source close to the film says that the actor will be playing a role with negative shades. 

Beast stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead, with Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Aparna Das and Lilliput Faruqui in supporting roles. While the film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the cinematography is by Manoj Paramahamsa. 

Meanwhile, Shine has Malayalam films like Adithattu (with Sunny Wayne), Pada (with Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, Vinayakan, and Dileesh Pothan), Padavettu (with Nivin Pauly), and Panthrandu (with Vinayakan) in different stages of development.
