Venkat Prabhu: Yuvan Shankar Raja reserves his best for Selvaraghavan

CE Features

The first single of Silambarasan TR's upcoming film, Maanaadu, released earlier today. Titled, Meherezylaa, the Yuvan Shankar Raja composition is sung by the composer himself alongwith his sister Bhavatharini.

Continuing with the newly-found tradition of launching audio on Twitter Spaces, Team Maanaadu too took to the social media platform to launch the song in the Maanaadu Meherezylaa Space.

During this session, Venkat Prabhu spoke about his long-time association with his brother and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Despite delivering some chartbusters throughout their careers, Venkat candidly revealed that Yuvan reserves his best for another of his contemporary filmmaker, "I know we have done so many films together, but I strongly believe Yuvan delivers something special with Selvaraghavan."

Responding to Venkat's claim, Yuvan brushed it off with his characteristic laugh.

The session was attended by actors Silambarasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, director Venkat Prabhu, lyricist Madhan Karky, Premgi Amaren, and producer Suresh Kamatchi.

Billed as a political thriller, Maanaadu also stars Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, and Premgi Amaren.
