Pawan Kalyan-starrer Gabbar Singh, which was a remake of Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg, has completed eight years. Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Bandla Ganesh, the film was a cult on its own. Action, comedy, drama, emotion, song and dance whatever a Telugu commercial film demands, Pawan Kalyan delivered.

Especially, the film's dialogues such as Naakkoncham tikkundi daniko lekkundi, Vaadu naa fan...nenu cheppina okkate...naa fan cheppina okkate, Naaku nene poti...naatho naake poti, nenu trend follow avvanu... trend set chesthanu, Nenu time ni nammanu...naa timing ni nammuthanu and Raaskora samba have always come to mind as the most iconic lines uttered by Pawan Kalyan.

The Telugu version is not a frame-to-frame adaptation of Dabanng as Harish has introduced his brand of entertainment with the Kabaddi and Antakshari sequences.

One cannot forget the splendid star cast supported by Shruti Haasan, Suhasini Maniratnam, Nagineedu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Ajay, whose performances making Gabbar Singh the highest-grossing film of 2012, with Pawan Kalyan bagging the Filmfare Award in the Best Actor (Male) category.

The film holds a special place in the hearts of Pawan Kalyan fans as it not only remains the actor's best work to date but also for reviving his fluctuating fortunes at the ticket window.
