Several shows of the Nayanthara-Anurag Kashyap-starrer, Imaikaa Nodigal, were cancelled across Tamil Nadu today because of 'financial issues between the producer and right holders'. The KDM (Key Delivery Message) to start digital screening in theatres was not issued by the DSPs (Digital Service Providers) stating non-settlement of financial dues, following which the morning, noon, matinee and evening shows of Ajay Gnanamuthu's second film were suspended.

Notably, the film was plagued by financial issues for quite some time now, and its release had been getting delayed since March 2018. The film's director took to Twitter to reassure the fans that all issues will be sorted soon.

Night shows of the film are expected to happen today as all financial issues have been reportedly settled, and the KDMs dispatched.
